This policy explains what happens to your information when you use this calculator (the “Site”). In short: the calculator runs entirely in your own browser, and the numbers you type are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Who is responsible for this Site
The Site (sellertaxcalculator.co.uk) is operated from the United Kingdom by its owner, who is the “data controller” for UK data-protection purposes. Because the calculator collects and transmits no personal data about you (see below), there is normally nothing we hold or process about you. For any privacy or data-protection query you can contact us at hello@sellertaxcalculator.co.uk, or you can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
The figures you enter
Everything you type into the calculator — your sales, orders, costs and other income — is processed locally in your browser using JavaScript. It is not sent to any server, is not stored by us, and disappears when you close or refresh the page. The “download CSV” and “print” features build the file on your own device.
Cookies and analytics
The Site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If, in future, we add privacy-respecting, aggregate visitor analytics to understand how many people find the Site useful, we will update this policy first and name the provider here. We will never sell or share personal data.
Links to other sites
The Site links out to third parties — for example gov.uk for the official tax rules, the marketplaces’ own fee pages, and TaxScouts as an affiliate partner. If you sign up to TaxScouts through our link we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Once you follow any external link you are on that site, and its own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you contact us by e-mail, we will only use your message to reply to you. Under UK GDPR you have rights over any personal data a business holds about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the “last updated” date above.
